Seminar Description:

From Citrus To Technology - Israeli Business Law and Trends” is a presentation on issues to be aware of in cross-border transactions involving an Israeli party.  The lecture will delve into on comparative law by looking at the Israeli law, comparing it to the US law and describing real life issues relating to the various provisions that were discussed.  The lecture will primarily deal with corporate and securities laws but will touch on employment law, tax and antitrust.

Benjamin Waltuch is a Partner in Pearl Cohen’s US Securities Practice Group in Tel Aviv. Benjamin practiced law at another leading Israeli law firm for ten years, the last five of which as a partner. Prior to moving to Tel Aviv, he practiced law in large international law firms in New York for more than seven years.  

Pearl Cohen is a 110 attorney law firm whose roots are intellectual property law for high tech and bio tech companies.  Today, Pearl Cohen has 6 offices and is a full service law firm with more than 100 attorneys offering advice in corporate, securities, litigation, real estate, employment, internet law and tax.

Benjamin's practice over the last 19 years has focused on domestic and international transactions of the following types: IPOs and other US securities filings; M&A transactions; venture capital and private equity investments; commercial agreements; and loan facilities. 
 
Mr. Waltuch has represented companies and their financing sources, buyers and sellers, lenders and borrowers, service providers and customers. Mr. Waltuch has represented clients which have ranged from banks and other financial institutions to companies in the consumer goods, solar and green energy, hotel, real estate, manufacturing, telecom, software, internet and medical device industries.

Benjamin has also served on the Board of Directors of his local synagogue in Israel.
